CRL Good Life Foundation to Sponsor the 202nd European Neuro Muscular Centre International Workshop Clinical Characteristics, Pathomechanisms and Trial Design for Calpainopathy

The CRL Good Life Foundation is very proud to sponsor the 202nd ENMC International Workshop Clinical Characteristics, Pathomechanisms and Trial Design for Calpainopathy. This very important workshop which will hopefully open the door to finding a cure for Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy 2a. Many of the world’s top scientists, doctors and researchers will be attending the workshop to focus primarily on LGMD2a or Calpainopathy. This will be our 3rd research project grant made specifically toward Calpainopathy with hopes to one day finding a cure!

Coalition to Cure Calpain 3 and the European Neuro Muscular Centre are pleased to announce that two U.S.-based patient organizations have signed on as sponsors of the 202nd ENMC International Workshop Clinical Characteristics, Pathomechanisms and Trial Design for Calpainopathy to be held in The Netherlands, November 8 – 10, 2013. Dr. Melissa Spencer, Professor of Neurology at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and Chair of the C3 Scientific Advisory Board, serves as organizer.
This “by invitation only” meeting will bring together internationally-renowned scientists to focus on limb girdle muscular dystrophy type 2A (LGMD2A), also called calpainopathy.
Another amazing organization, Beyond Labels and Limitations, has also teamed up to sponsor this workshop. Beyond Labels & Limitations raises money for research dedicated exclusively to LGMD2A and educates people about the disease course and the struggles associated with this disease.

Finally, the driving force behind all of the great research being done is that of Coalition to Cure Calpain 3. (C3) Michele Wrubel and her team has been hard at work for years trying to find a cure for this terrible disease and we are happy to partner with them!

Coalition to Cure Calpain 3 (C3) is committed to treating and ultimately curing calpainopathy. Our mission is to fund high potential research and clinical trials as we educate the global community about this disease. http://www.curecalpain3.org/index.html
